Experienced ski school with professional Swiss licensed instructors. The Swiss Ski School has worked with ISL for over thirty years
No Chair Lifts will be used by our Primary Ski Programme to ensure students are not placed at any severe risk. T-bars and button lifts are on the ground as students literally ski back up the mountain with two skis placed firmly on the snow
Students are grouped by known ability and experience. They are taught by an instructor with a student ratio of 1:12 or less; Beginner groups 1:6 ratio
Groups are adjusted each week to ensure students are challenges to become more competent skiers
There are 36 hours of scheduled instruction for the winter term allowing students to improve their ability and skills
Travel by Remy buses
La Lécherette/Les Mosses is a safe small ski area that is perfect for a large ski group as there are no télécabins or chair lifts
The ski area provides runs for all students from beginners to experienced skiers
No bus or group is allowed to depart from any location without a register being checked
Registers are also taken during the day
Any student attending 80% of Friday ski days will receive an attendance award
Skiing is a valuable lifelong skill that will benefit students in the future
Skiing is an important part of Swiss culture and life style
Guidelines
Parents are not allowed to accompany school skiing
In case of a cancellation due to inclement weather the day before, you will be notified by email and SMS text message via clarion call service. Students will have a normal school day on Friday
If cancelled on the morning of the ski day students will have a normal day at school and be provided with a lunch in the cafeteria
In case of cancellation during the day due to bad weather, parents will be contacted by SMS and will need to collect their child at 15.40, in the usual manner
If you need to contact your child in an emergency, please phone the school. The school will contact ISL staff as cell phone reception is excellent in Les Mosses
Any snack given to your child can be eaten in the afternoon as a short break is possible before our 15.00 departure
