What if you could experience some of the best professional theatre without leaving ISL?
The ISL Theatre Club brings high-quality recorded professional performances to our auditorium, giving High School students, staff, parents and alumni the opportunity to experience outstanding theatre together as a community.
Six times throughout the school year — once each half term — we will transform the ISL auditorium into our own theatre cinema, screening a specially selected professional production on the big screen.
Theatre has the power to entertain, challenge, surprise and start conversations.
Each Theatre Club screening offers an opportunity to step away from the everyday and experience a professional production alongside other members of the ISL community.
There is no commitment to attend every screening. Simply choose the performances that interest you, take your seat and enjoy the show.
After each screening, Mr Fessler, will host an optional Q&A and discussion for anyone who would like to explore the production further, exchange perspectives or simply continue the conversation.
Whether you are already passionate about theatre or simply curious to discover something new, everyone is welcome.

Bringing these different members of our community together is part of what makes the experience special. A single performance can inspire very different reactions, interpretations and conversations — and the discussion does not have to end when the credits roll.
Vidy Theatre, Lausanne will host the world premier of Questions for John a one-man show in English created, directed and starring Simon McBurney - founder of the extraordinary Complicité Theatre Company.
Running 31 October-8 November 2026 this promises to be an outstanding show created and starring one of theatre's greatest creators - highly recommended!

Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in Brighton to collect £6,000 from the dad of his fiancée.
But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who has been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers, for whom Francis also works. Simple.
In this riotous comedy, even the audience is brought along on Francis’ madcap quest to serve two masters and get the girl. Full of high-energy physical comedy and crackling banter, One Man, Two Guvnors moves at a breakneck pace and leaves audiences rolling in the aisles.
