Getting to ISL during the roadworks

Public roadworks around ISL will make access to the school more difficult than usual.

The bridge over the autoroute is closed to vehicles. There is no access to ISL from this direction.

Please follow all temporary road signs and police instructions. Police will be present around ISL to help manage traffic and ensure road regulations are followed.

Coming by car? Use Sauvabelin

If you are approaching ISL from the east or south, we strongly recommend using Sauvabelin for drop-off and pick-up. This will help you avoid the heaviest traffic around the school.

  • Reception 3–Year 1: Please continue to drop off directly at ISL. The supervised group from Sauvabelin is not available for these year groups.
  • Years 2–4: ISL staff will accompany students from Sauvabelin to school between 8:00 and 8:15.
  • Years 5–6: Students can walk independently or join the supervised group.
  • Year 7– Year 13: Students can walk from Sauvabelin to ISL independently.

Please keep drop-offs at Sauvabelin brief.

For afternoon pick-up, we also recommend using Sauvabelin. You can walk to ISL to collect younger children or arrange for older children to meet you there.

If collecting your child after an activity between 17:00 and 18:00, traffic around ISL should be significantly lighter and you may drive to campus.

Reception 3, Reception 4, and Year 1

These families may continue to drive directly to ISL.

  • Reception 3 & 4: Take your child directly to their classroom.
  • Year 1: Use Kiss and Go. ISL staff will direct students to the waiting area outside the Medical Office.

Please follow all temporary signs when approaching the school.

Other alternatives

ISL Bus Service

No change for families using the ISL Bus Service. Students will be dropped off at a designated location and accompanied to campus by ISL staff.

Public transport

Use the temporary Piécette bus stop, one stop before the usual ISL stop. It is approximately a 3-minute walk to school.

Walking and cycling

We encourage families who live nearby to walk or cycle. Cyclists must dismount and walk their bicycles across the bridge, as requested by the local police.

First day of school

You are welcome to accompany your child onto campus, but there will be no parking at ISL.

We recommend parking at Sauvabelin and walking to school with your child.

Please help us keep traffic moving

  • Follow police instructions and temporary road signs.
  • Only drop-off and pick up in designated areas.
  • Do not use our neighbours' facilities or visitor parking.
  • Avoid driving directly to ISL when you have another option.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and traffic moving during the roadworks.
