We warmly invite the school community to the Year 8 Service Project Celebration on Monday 26 May at 17:00, taking place in the Auditorium and South Building Exhibition Space.
This special evening showcases the outcomes of Year 8’s interdisciplinary unit in English and Humanities, where students have been exploring the refugee crisis from both global and local perspectives. As part of this learning journey, students engaged in service learning, finding meaningful ways to raise awareness and advocate for refugee experiences.
We are also honoured to welcome Gulwali Passarlay, a published author and journalist from the UK, who will share his moving personal story of fleeing Afghanistan alone at the age of 12.
The event is a celebration of the students’ hard work, creativity, and compassion. All are welcome to attend and support our students as they present their learning and efforts to make a positive impact.
Refreshments will be provided by the students.
