Year 7 to Year 11 International Schools' Assessment (ISA) testing

Written by ISL Weekly Newsletter | Feb 5, 2026 2:18:24 PM

On Tuesday 10 February, all students in Year 7 to Year 11 will complete the International Schools’ Assessment (ISA), an annual assessment programme developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and designed specifically for international schools. Like MAP, the ISA assesses students’ reading and mathematical literacy.

Once the assessments have been completed and results processed, your child’s report will be made available via the Parent Portal. This will be accompanied by a short screencast to support your understanding of the results.

When considered alongside classroom observations, student work overtime, and other assessment data, ISA results provide a valuable external benchmark. This information helps us to plan targeted support and ensure students continue to make strong academic progress.

If you have any questions regarding the ISA assessments, please do not hesitate to contact me. You may also wish to visit the website of ACER https://www.acer.org/gb/isa for further information.
