After a very successful ISL Iftar meal during 2017 Ramadan, the Culture and Community Club (CC Club) will be hosting the event again this year.
You are all welcome to attend this event, in which we aim to celebrate cultural diversity at ISL and encourage appreciation for religious events that take place within our community.
The event will commence with an overview of the service trip to Morocco and awareness of the charity the CC Club is supporting as part of their ongoing service. This will be followed by some guest speakers who will be talking about Ramadan and why the Islamic members of the community partake in Ramadan. During the evening, there will also be a henna activity.
After sun down, we will break the fast of the day with the tradition of eating a date, and then we will all eat a delicious array of food from around the world. Students from the CC Club will provide some of the food, but if possible, we would appreciate if you could contribute a dish of food to the event. If you bring meat, please make sure the meat is halal.
