The experience of young people at school is richer if parents are actively involved. Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a dynamic and important part of ISL school life. The Association welcomes new families, coordinates social and cultural events, and enhances lines of communication.

Family life in Lausanne, Switzerland

Family life in Lausanne

Lausanne is a small city of 140,000 inhabitants. Yet the surrounding areas offer an incredible number of activities for students and their families. In the summer you can sail or paddle on the lake. In the winter you can ski or snowshoe in the mountains. French is often spoken locally, but it’s normal to hear English and many other languages too.

Marta Burke

“Our five kids are as different as siblings can be and the fact that all of them love ISL is a testament to the school and the community. ”
