Cooking Classes:
Learn how to make traditional dishes from the Alter Start Food chefs and pick up tips and tricks you can apply at home. You will also discover their stories and celebrate their courage and strength in building new lives in Switzerland. Every month on a Thursday morning, a chef will host a class at ISL where you will prepare together one of their traditional recipes. For example, Syrian mezze with Chef Jessy.
The class is open to ISL parents (min. 8 – max. 10) and will be held monthly.
The price is CHF 70 per class. The price includes instruction, materials, and a contribution to the IFPD Alter Start Food programme.

Offered by Alter Start Food Chefs
Alter Start Food, a programme of the IFPD Foundation, is a culinary and solidarity-based springboard to support the professionalisation and financial autonomy of micro-entrepreneurial chefs from migrant families. Our chefs offer world cuisine with specialities from their home countries using fresh, local ingredients. Dishes prepared under the supervision of a qualified chef.
