Netball Coach

The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading not-for-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Our school is committed to excellence in education. The school employs approximately 250 members of staff on its campus where we welcome approximately 850 students from over 60 nationalities, from 3 to 18 years of age.

 

For our After-School Activities Programme, we are seeking a dynamic and qualified Netball Coach to lead our Girls Category A & B teams with students aged 14 to 17 years old. 

Netball Coach

From August 2025

 

This is a year-round coaching role across three sporting seasons, once or twice a week, depending on the time of year. Each session lasts between 1h15 and 1h30.

 

Potential training schedule:

  • Wednesdays: 16:00–17:30
  • Fridays: 06:45–08:00

 

The Netball Coach will be responsible for planning and delivering all training sessions, conducting initial squad selections at the start of each season, and and competition day team selections in line with the ISL values. Sessions should be engaging, challenging, and developmentally appropriate, delivered to the highest standards and in alignment with the values of ISL.

The team competes locally and internationally throughout the year, and the coach is expected to be fully available for all practices and tournaments, representing the school with professionalism and commitment.

 

Desired profile

  • A recognised qualification in Netball coaching or relevant experience
  • Experienced in teaching and coaching students aged 14-17 years
  • An understanding of holistic-based coaching strategies is preferable
  • Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions which stimulate and motivate students
  • Proven track record in the development of progression
  • Administrative skills with proven experience in adhering to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural awareness
  • Adaptability, flexibility and dynamism
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); any other language is an asset
