The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading non-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. For our After-School Activities Programme (Primary school), we are seeking to appoint dynamic and committed

French Language Instructors

Temporary position from September 2024 to June 2025

The successful candidates would be committing to plan and deliver French language acquisition classes to small groups of non-native speakers as well as provide a termly written report. The one-hour lessons will typically run on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 15:45 to 16:45.

Desired profile:

  • Teaching qualification or in the process of completing a teaching qualification
  • French native speaker
  • Experience with working positively with children (aged from 5 to 11 years old)
  • Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate classes which stimulate and motivate students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural awareness
  • Adaptability, flexibility, dynamism and a sense of humour
  • Commitment to self-reflection and professional development
  • Good verbal communication skills in English with very good listening skills; any other language is an asset
