Welcome Message from our PTA President

Hello ISL community!

For those who do not know me, my name is Lisa Tweardy, and I have the privilege of being your PTA President for the second year. I would not have been able to step back into this position this year if it were not for the incredible support from the parents and guardians that form the rest of our Executive Team, Class Reps, and the ISL community. Therefore, thank you to those who are already stepping up where hands are needed. I am a firm believer that “many hands make light work”, so I invite all of you to get involved, get excited, and help us keep the beloved programmes in place at ISL that we are all so proud to have.

The first way to be involved... be informed.  If you have not done so already, please sign-up for your child's Year WhatsApp group. This is the foundation of PTA communication and a way to connect with families in designated Year levels. The next way is through the ISL Facebook groups.  From finding medical professionals to selling unwanted items... our private group is there to help.

Lastly, pay the PTA dues.  We cannot function as an organization without the money from the ISL families... truly.  So please, go on and take that task off your list and I will not ask again, promise.

Check out the PTA website for the upcoming events. The Executive Team has many of the events you love, as well as a few additional ones. You do not want to miss out!

It has been my pleasure to serve as your ISL PTA President this past year.  I hope to, once again, represent the PTA in the best way possible.  So, my 'door' is always open for those who have questions, concerns, or general inquiries.  Please, never hesitate to contact me.
