03 September by ISL Weekly Newsletter
We are excitedly preparing for these trips, which will take place during the week of Monday 14 September. (Year 13 on Sunday). At this link, you will find a helpful summary of the departure times and locations, along with trip leader names and contact details.
Please also remember that due to Swiss data protection laws, we cannot share any photos of students during the trips. We will take photos throughout the week and use software to process them so we can share them while respecting the wishes of the parental community. Parents will receive a daily email update from trip leaders.
Finally, for Year 7 to Year 10 parents, please remind your child that these trips are mobile-device-free. We recommend ensuring the device is in your possession when they leave home on Monday. In recent years, some families have not met this requirement and have given permission for their child to take a device without the school’s knowledge. This can lead the child to be dishonest with teachers and undermine the community’s efforts to ensure children develop social skills and spend time away from screens. We ask all families for their support in our goal of giving our young people this important break from devices.
